I spy a kiln opening.
After taking some time away in the summer, we enjoyed getting back in the saddle of tile-making. We had a few special orders and commissioned pieces which brought structure to our timeline. Thank you tile-friends. We love a deadline.
Tracy and I have found that we really enjoy the process of making unique commissioned pieces. It stretches our artistic muscles and invites collaboration…how about a kitchen back splash!

One of those relaxing little tasks to get ready for a show…making hangers for my #handmadetile Pop by Creative Arts Group this weekend, Nov 2-3, 10a-5p. 108 N Baldwin Ave, Sierra Madre for lots of beautiful artwork in a variety of mediums.
PS…A long time ago I put a traditional indent in the wet clay for hanging, but I had so many Tile friends say they were nervous about hanging those in this land of earthquakes. So I’ve been doing these galvanized wires for many many years and they seem to last forever. I’ve had some hanging in my garden for 15 years with the same wire and silicone! Not glamorous but highly functional 😁#ramonapalomatile .
